    Default Baby NOID Lizard

He was catching a few rays and warming up on my house. I've never seen this type of baby before. I think it might be a fence lizard? The males have blue throats.

Cute lil fella. I say you are spot on, Cathy. It is some sort of fence lizard ... most likely Sceloporus undulatus.

Paul, Thanks for the ID. I just found another in of all places my kitchen floor. This one was very tiny. I finally caught him and put him in my shadehouse. I hope he makes it through the winter.

That is a cool color...I don't think I've seen any that dark over this way. Gotta love the little bug eaters!

I remember catching these little guys when I was a kid! They are certainly fast! The baby ought to be be just fine outdoors for the winter. The males have the most beautiful blue color on their abdomen when they go into breeding mode!

I've never seen the adults. I did see fence lizards when I lived in MO. I back up on a large wooded area full of oaks. I think they must live back in that area. Its a mystery how they made it to my front yard and into the house. They do have the cutest little head and its quite different then the anoles.
