    Default Unlucky fruit fly on a Bulbophyllum praetervisum

    I saw this fruit fly trapped over the sticky part of this Bubophyllum while collecting some perfume so sad.

    Hi Ron this is my second time I saw this phenomenon well the flower itself emitted very strong perfume which the flies cannot resist it, actually it is Bulbophyllum praetervisum. thanks.

    Bulbophyllum praetervisum sure looks similar to macranthum.

    I Initially thought as macharanthum but one of my friend told me is different especially the finer spotting, the coloration of the sepals, the triangular stellida on the column and the thicker lip as described by Jays.
