    Default The Tiger Iris

I just love this Iris. I've had it for about 6 years. It reblooms in the fall. Nope - I don't know the name. I have it mixed in with with my favorite of all time Irises - a pink with orange "caterpillers" on the falls and orange tiger stripes on the throats. Unfortunately, the pink was all done blooming by the time I got home.

It has that standard Iris fragrance. A scent that always makes me think that summer is almost here!

I can close my eyes and smell it. I had wonderful iris when we lived in MD. We had the pink and orange one that you talked about, that one had a heavenly fragrance. Thanks for the memories.

Man the striation is absolutely awesome!! yeah, as soon as i see it, i have the smell right in my nose. Definitely lots of memories. Irises, for me as well, have always been a pleasant sign of summer.
