    Default AV

I guess good quality bagged potting soil is not enough. My AVs die the same way every year. The leaves on the outer "ring" of the plant start to yellow and die, gradually progressing toward the center.

I'll have to get one of those pretty self watering pots and some better soil next year. Maybe I'll try again.

My AVs sit in a Northwestern window with a couple of phals that rebloom faithfully every year.

LOL - it's been a long time since anyone called me Di... used to get it all the time until Princess Di came along...

As for killing them in the self-watering pots... yeah, I think you better scratch AVs off your list...
