    Default a wonderful hike

It was the warmest day of the summer so far, in the high 90's and humid but we had plans to meet friends and do a hike so we went for it. Did a swim in the lake first than a hike and then another dip to cool off. Had a marvelous time and found a German Restaurant in the mountains for dinner with great weise beer on tap.

The waterfall is awesome! It cooled off here today. We actually were able to open the windows and turn off the AC for awhile.

Looks like you had a great time!

    Cheers,
    BD

I bet the waterfall must be stunning in the spring when the creek has more water in it.

What a day to be alive; I'm glad you shared your lovely pictures with us. I'll bet that area is gorgeous in the fall, too.

A touch of fall in the air here already. Just the first hint. Soon the first aspens at high altitude will show signs, though the real show is about a month away.

That's about how long I have to figure out where to put all my summering plants that will have to come in! Orchids really like being outside--even up here.

the first pictures with the track through the trees is awesome... I love the way the light shines through... for a day so warm, it has that cooling feel to it.

Mind you the water shots and especially the waterfall is just awesome.

What a lovely way to spend a day!

Great pics. That water must have been freezing. Very glad you could open your windows Brutal. If I opened mine, I think my beagle would pass out. She only goes out for about 5 minutes, then is barking to come back in. This high pressure is great for keeping hurricanes away, but not so good for a much needed rainstorm.
