    Default More froggies

I was busy cleaning the flower beds next to the foothpath to the door when I noticed a movemend under some freshly turned soil...

A rain frog was living in a space under the cement pathway... the soil is realy rich and soft... working in it covers your hand like a velvet glove and does not hurt...

The little guy was quite defensive blew himself up realy big, lunged at my hand a few times and makes a sound like a goose.... was realy entertaining chaseing him around a bit...Had to make sure he doesn't end under a garden implement.

And about two meters from where I found him I found another frog. realy cute one too...

Today's bunch were even less happy... cleaned out a stinky stagnant pond today.
Man what a smell... reminds me of the fish canning factory's outlet in Lambertsbay, when I was a kid.

The froggy was quite cute as was the little crab... don't know how it got there. It has an 8' wall around... maybe my dad put it in there when he still lived. But it is a bit small for such a long time... The blue container is a just the cap from a pool chlorine bottle.

I think he is enjoying the clean river water now...

I'm guessing those first two guys are toads and the latter one is a frog. Don't know your native wildlife, however.
