This is a discussion on baby orchids within the Flasking Equipment & Technique forums, part of the Orchid Propagation category; I finally managed to germinate some orchid seeds....
I finally managed to germinate some orchid seeds.
Very nice! Congratulations
Amazing, looks like the seedlings I managed to germinate also on the roots of my R. retusa.
Well done Anuchit. I had the same thing happen to my Aerides odorata - they sort of germinated by themselves without any help from me. BTW the aerides were growing mounted on an old tree stump together with Rhy retusa and Den secundum
I agree - that's exciting! How long did it take?
How are you all germinating orchid seeds like that?? Just putting them on spagnum in another plants basket? Or is that moss? I have seed pods I could do this with soon...and would love to try it myself.
Wow...I am impressed!
