    Default Neglected outside orchids

I have neglected dendrobium and Cymbidium orchids growing in wire backets hanging under trees. They seem to be happy as they are flowering each year. I do water them now and then with orchid food. As I am not starting a greenhouse should I rescue them or leave them happy in their wild state? They do look rather natural like they are. Also my NZ orchids are outside growing happily on pungas (fern trees) should I leave them alone?

I vote for that you leave them outside if the thrive and bloom!
    Why change something that work?

I though so, but why disturb well behaved plants when there are Soooo many more to collect ?
I would not fill the greenhouse to early... space will fast become valuble.

They must be enjoying our NZ sun and thriving outdoors , my Cym is about to burst into bloom anyday now the spike is so thick and full of buds inside. However I will bring the Cym indoors to enjoy the blooms as I don't want the severe winter weather to destory the blooms! Yesterday's storm was major and there were pot plants smashed. Thank goodness I bought the Cym inside to shelter

If it ain't broke don't try to fix it. I have all my orchids outside now, hopefully I'll get the same type of luck you do and they will bloom for me too.

Gosh an earthquake! Thank goodness there is no damage. My orchids were happily inside watching the storm pass by. I managed to collect a lot of rainwater for them though. Lucky little things watching me running around filling up bottles like a headless chicken....
