Default next growth after near death experience

I have a Catt that I almost lost last year. Overwatered and then it got something fungal. I sprayed it a few times and it actually recovered. But I did lose a part of the plant after repotting. Anyway, the last growth I guess has matured because it has put out new roots and now there is a tiny new growth.

My question is: the mature new growth is really small, maybe half the size of the largest p-bulb. Is that typical for a recovering orchid, for the next growth to be smaller? Or are my conditions for it not quite right? It is outside now (in shade) in s/h.

Generally, mine take 3-4 growths until full recovery. Be nice to the new growth!
