Intruder, where are you growing, under what conditions and how old/large are your Masd's?

I am living in Belgium. My Masdies are potted in terracotta pots 4" diameter with a substrate made of fine bark, perlite and sphagnum. From May to September they are outdoor (night T° 12°C day T° 25°C) and during winter indoor (night T° 10°C day T° 20°C) Relative humidity 40% to 70%. I have Masdevallia veitchiana some primary hybrids like Masd veitchiana x Masd decumana, Masdevallia barlliania, Masd. ignea and Masd coccinea + a few complex hybrids.

The one masd. that we grow here gets fed a balanced fertilizer once a week during the summer months along with our paphs. It is too hot here to really grow them well, so we keep this one against the kool-cell all the time. It stays damp, but seems to not mind.

    Cheers,
    BD

Replying to get this on topic again
I am using the MSU ro feed @75 ppm N @ every watering with Humate added every two weeks .I also use KLN on poorly rooted plants & superthrive when i feel like it .The superthrive i will probably stop using once i run out but i do love the smell so i am hooked on it not the orchids
I am getting some yellowing leaves with green in the middle section ,but look at the roots which are doing great so am not putting it down to a feeding problem .
I am growing in CHC ,and aim for a ph of 6.0-6.2.
I sometimes give them a shot of epsom salts and love to foliar which i do most days.
Obviously more tweaking will be done .

Just a update, I have had good success with the for mentioned regime with great root growth, the only thing I will be changing is stopping the superthrive. I think the 75 ppm N @ every watering is good for Masdevallia or 1/4 strength every watering in comparison. The yellowing leaf problem is no longer a problem!
