    I'm starting to think that "laelia" is actually Cattleya gaskelliana which flowers around the late spring period...

    also, the lighter coloured possible-ansellia... have u got a picture of the plant? I've seen that flower before, but can't put my mind to where and what it is...

    Hi Sorry man, I did not see your post..
    The plant parts of the two plants look almost identical too... same canes, same leaves...

    A question..
    I noticed the bifrenaria started smelling nice basicaly as soon as it opened...
    Hmm delicious perfume smell I can imagine a room full of these... smell exactly like perfume.... something light your granny would wear...


    The large cat/laelia I have only started smelling today... it is about a week old... would this be an indication of when they are optimal for polination? It also has a great smell, very strong smell in fact, a bit like perfume, a bit like petunias...

    Even my boy could not resist it...
