When watering this morning (Tuesday) I decided to pull this little guy out and clean its media. I found a lot of the brown gelatin type stuff so I removed it and all other dead organic matter and rinsed the roots for a while.
This plant has only 3 roots, is this enough?
Should I put it back in normal media or do you think it's ok/better in S/H?

    It's parentage is:
    callosum 31.25%
    lawrenceanum 31.25%
    venustum 25%
    sukhakulii 12.5%

Richard, the fuzzyness on your media is a telltale sign of not enough air circulation. I used to get this too, then I put a fan on my plants and they do not get it anymore. Give a fan a try and let us know how it goes...

I'm really amazed at how well some orchids look with indifferent root growth. If this had been my plant, I probably would never have guessed how poor the roots were, based on the top growth, which looks quite good.

I'm certainly an advocate of trying to save it, but as my experience with Paphs is limited to two plants, neither of which has been in my possession for more than two months, my opinion is pretty worthless!
