I feel your pain, when something happens to a new growth, it is extremely annoying (to say it politely), feels like your hard work just went down the drain ....
    Been there.
Your orchid will bounce back, faster than you think. (ok it may take a little while, I am being overly supportive here )

Oh my...not a good day....can I join you in a virtual drink? ...something strong I think Not my best week either! Your orchid will recover and if the installers didn't do it right, it is their responsibility....take a deep breath...I am pouring a single malt scotch on the rocks for us both and Laurent...cheers

We have all done it, Maria. It never gets any easier. So last night around 10:00 pm or so, I decide to go and check on the heaters in the GH. I open the door and forget I strung an extension cord across the floor to the oil heater on the other side of the GH. I go in and don't turn on a light, trip and knock at least 10 - 15 plants off the shelf and -get this - FALL ON THEM!! SPLAT!! I felt like such an idiot. I set everyone back on the benches and picked up as much potting media as I could. I can only imagine the damage I did. I was so flustered, I just closed the door and left. Maybe I will get home tonight in time to see if there was any real damage. It was several phrags and oncidiums. So, I suppose it is simply part of the process. LOL.

    Cheers,
    BD

I only wish I had that excuse! We opened the student directed one-act plays last night, so I got home well after dark. It was cold, so I went into the GH to check on the heaters. It was so embarrassing. LOL

    Cheers,
    BD
