    Default Cattleya yellowing issues

I saw these two leaves yellowing on the 1st and they were both gone on the 3rd. Does anyone know what this is or can be? None of my other plants have this issue, and I'm worried since it happens so fast. I don't want it to spread to other plants if it is contagious. How can I prevent this in the future.

If it's contagious, I've got it too.

Seems it is the time of the year when old tired leaves give it up.
If the others are ok and no rot issues I would not worry . Gin

to Gin - I've got older leaves falling off many plants at the moment, it seems to be what they do, I guess.

So long as all else is healthy...meaning the pbulbs are fat, roots are good, no root rot, you're probably ok

You two are cracking me up!

Sorry about the yellow leaf thing. It is true though, we have several doing that same thing.

    Cheers,

I must admit that the catts from that vendor are not the most vigorous and I'm not sure why (lack of roots? no offense to that vendor). I have noticed several of your threads (I recognize the name tags) but I didn't want to discuss the vendor as this is a touchy thing to talk about.
Same thing goes with me, and none have bloomed yet though they are still alive. Hopefully they catch up soon, I'm not saying they are necessarily bad plants. I see new roots and growths my plants. My Wanda's Fire has stayed the same size for years (I think this one was the worse one), but the newer catts from them show more promise.

Their paph divisions however grow fine and come very healthy. I've bloomed one and I hope to see more blooms soon

Eventually old leaves do yellow. looks like you have some healthy leaves there too on new growths.

Thanks guys, I was worried too quickly I guess

I hope it doesn't happen to any other plants though...
