Nice flower and plant but I would suggest is not a Vanda by any stretch or one I can find anywhere. I had a look around at possibles but nothing as yet. I've seen something like it but cant remember where.

sorry if i have just replied now, my keyboard at home decided to call it quits, and havent
got time to get a new one yet.

yes, i've got more vandas, the vandas you see in the background are mokara's (recently
added). i'd like to focus more on Vandas, and i love Waling-Waling and the hybrids of it,
but we'll eventually get those once we're finished with the house construction.

i am having my doubts that this could be a vanda, i'll upload a close up of the bloom
when i get home from work. hopefully with a new keyboard.

I might be able to identify it if only the lighting isn't soooo bright as the colors are getting washed out. It doesn't appear to be a vanda and my educated hunch is this orchid belongs perhaps to the Luisia family ... perhaps this might be a Luisia teretefolia.

    from the web:
SPECIES OF THE VENUS LUISIA ARE OFTEN CONFUSED BY THE novice orchid growers and collectors for plants of the terete (or cylindrical leaved) Vandas, V. Teres and V. Miss Joaquim. This confusion results because the native Luisias have terete or cylindrical leaves which, at first observation, resemble those of the two aforementioned Vandas. Unfortunately, the flowers of the indigenous Luisias are small, only about one-half an inch across, and the sepals and petals are a drab greenish color while the labellum is dark purple.

    Randy,

Remember the V. Rev. Masao that I pointed out to you when we met at the lung center last saturday? That is the dark colored one and it was the only plant in the corner store? You should have gotten that as that is a very beautiful vanda hybrid and very sturdy and is an awarad AM/AOS plant. Hehehehe .....

hi jojo looking at the orchidspecies website from the link you've provided, i think you've got
it. but i'll still post a pic of it when i get home so that you can judge it for yourself. Only
thing is that from the description it says that it has foul smelling flowers, but i haven't
    smelled anything from it.

It could be a different form of Luisia as that is the only one I can think of at the moment. Sometimes the scent is triggered by certain environmental factors - who knows the scent is subdued at the moment since the plant appears to look dry.

Spray/dip it with malathion as there might be some scales/mites which is often the case with some plants that have been collected from the wild before you mix it with the rest of your plants.
