Default Thanks to Uncasteeb my growroom...

wood parts are now covered in real shiny polywrap....similar to Mylar but MUCH cheaper !! Tell you what it is later.
This was an experiment to bring in more light in the winter, as it faces North and never gets any overhead sun...only from a wee bit of an angle.
Anywho, while out Christmas shopping I came across this gift wrap...called polywrap...waterproof and fairly sturdy !! So my rafters and wood are now wrapped like a Christmas present and you would not believe how much light is bounced around !
So, the question is...Is reflected light good for orchids ? It sure looks like it helps.

Merry Christmas! It sure looks bright!

Isn't it funny how when out shopping, one always keeps the orchids in mind? I'm always picking up little tools and things at drugstores and such that I think might come in handy. I recently discovered and raided my roomate's stash of alcohol swabs, that was a fun find!

So, the question is...Is reflected light good for orchids ?
Mylar reflects upto 95% of all light spectrum.
So it really helps in my growroom , 1 x 400w HPS is enough for my 65+ 'chids.
