Do all unifolate Catts grow with the leaf folded in half? When are they "supposed" to open? I have an Slc. that has 2 leaves still folded in half and it has started 2 new tiny growths. Does this mean that the leaves will not open?
Are most Catts starting some small growths at this time of year of does it just depend?
Debbie, yes. The leaves start out being folded lengthwise and will gradually unfold and open as they mature. Many of our catts are putting out new growth now; some are not. So yeah, it really just depends on the types of plant and the conditions they're in. New growth appearing doesn't mean that older growth won't mature, as long as it hasn't been longer than a year that that older growth has come up.
