    Default Promenea repotting question

    Hello everyone,

My Promenea is almost done blooming and 2 additional growths just started but I think it's also time to repot. I got it March of this year at the show and is currently in Sphag (see photos). My question, do I repot in sphag also or has anyone has any suggestion on what kind of medium I should use.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have ours growing in a seedling bark mix. It came to us potted in sphag and I left it that way for awhile, but then the roots grew outside of the pot and the ones in the sphag died so I repotted in redwood bark, charcoal & sponge rock mix (similar to paphs - even though these guys have p-bulbs), ours is in such a small pot, I did not want it to dry out too much.

    Cheers,
    BD

Thanks Ron and Bruce. This is one of my favorite orchid and I just hate to kill it if I don't do it right.
