    Default Repot 2" seedlings???

I have about 6-8 of these little plants. Do I repot now (into SH) or must I wait until they fill their pots, bursting at the seams? Thx for any suggestions. Sheila :-)

Sheila, no need to wait till that point. I'm not sure what you mean by "SH" though. Are they in individual pots now, or in a compot?

    Louis,
I think she is referring to semi- hydro growing. I do not know anything about this type of growing..sorry.

Oh! (Duh.. SH. I'm used to seeing it S/H so was trying to figure out, "Sphagnum Horticulture"? "Soft Hard"? "Seedling Hedonism"?

Brain must have had crown rot this morning....

Anyway, from what people have been saying on here, seems to me that, as long as the roots have decent enough length to them so they can absorb the moisture being wicked up by those clay balls, they should do fine. You might have to use smaller-sized clay balls though so the roots can stay in better contact with them....

    Sheila

From the little bit of information that I have read about S/H, you do not have to be as concerned about overpotting plants, as you would with bark medium.

    Good Luck

My apologies, I do mean semi-hydro. I've given your brain it's exercise for the day. LOL. I know I can go into SH, just didn't know whether I should wait for more growth. Quite often when I get 2"ers from growers they are definitely outgrowing their pots. It's the other plants I'm concerned with. Talking about a couple catts, a max, a bulbo, a couple encylia. The phals I transplanted out of a mini compot went into a stall for a couple months. Just curious what other growers do. Sheila :-)
