Default Sharry Baby back bulb success

I had to repot my Sharry Baby but didn't have a larger pot for S/H so I chopped off some back bulbs and decided not to chuck them but just pot them up and see what happens. Here's the result. Happy me. I was worried because nothing was happening and the bulbs were getting really ugly

Congrats! Be sure to keep us updated on how the new growth develops. Sharry baby is a vigorous grower, but I have not seen one grow from such a decimated back-bulb. It will be interesting to see how quickly it matures. Good work!

    cheers,
    BD

Here's an update, it's not much bigger at all but that's not unexpected.

In the mean time the mommy plant has spiked again, but it's not the best blooming though.

Good job with the backbulb. The new growth is amazing. I love the fragrance of Sherri Baby. My 8 yr old granddaughter picked out one at an orchid show and it is blooming now in the living room. Great plant.

Here is another update. It's growing quite nicely though I hope it will put out some roots soon as the back bulbs are not looking that good anymore.
