    Default What A Disappointment

I know I should always be thankful for what I have but these two have been a major disappointment for me this year.... Not only did the Lycaste not open all the way but it turned brown and I was especially careful with the water this year. And the Phal, while very pretty, had only a few buds and most of them blasted!!!!!

I feel your pain, of the 10 buds on my phal, I might get one flower, if I am lucky. Here's to hoping for better luck next year!

I'm so sorry Howard about phal's other buds & Lycaste not opening all the way out. Sometimes things go their own way .(

I feel your pain, Howard. I remember your Lycaste from last year ... the flowers were lovely. *sigh* Well I guess there's always next year, eh?

Sorry Howard. :-( I'm having the same kinda issues, and based on our locations, you and I have prolly been getting similar weather. My Cymbidium has blasted all but three of its buds off of 2 spikes....

I don't know, I think its this weather... extra cold, even in the house, and no sunlight for weeks and weeks now.

That is too bad, Howard. Sorry. We have had some issues because of the snow. Light intensity has been very high because of reflected light and lots of orchids are looking a bit too yellow for my taste.

    Cheers,
    BD

    I feel your pain.
Im having a wierd season too. A couple of plants that were thriving just decided to trip their off switch and wilted.
None of the neighboring plants were affected so Im not sure whats going on.
