    Looks fine now (post#8). No worries. Just be sure to let it dry out completely between waterings.

    Don't looks like you did a good job repotting. I've had to occasionally repot orchids shortly after potting-- there are accidents sometimes we can't prevent (pots knocked off tables, kids helping, etc). *sigh* :-)

    Clay pots are great too, in my opinion. They as porous, so they breath very well and help prevent root rot and overwatering. The ones with the extra holes are especially suited for orchids. Some people prefer other pots, but I love and predominantly use clay.

    Thanks for the advice and encouragement! I soaked the medium for awhile before repotting, and it's drying at a more normal rate, and all the way through, not just the top, so hopefully my catt's p-bulbs will be looking nice and plump again before long
