    Default Oncd Sharry Baby

I recently re-potted my oncidium sharry baby into 6" plastic pot with holes in the bottom using Primeagra(LECA)as the sole medium. I grow outdoors with bright shaded location with 50 to 60% humidity and 86F temperature.

They say, you can't over water using primeagra(LECA) does it mean I can water my sharry baby everyday?

If not, What is the best watering guide? every 2 or 3 days?

IS the pot drying out? I would keep it damp but not wet. Watch the roots and the p-bulbs. They will tell you what they need.

    Cheers,
    BD

    Bella
Im growing my Sharry Baby in S/H. Its doing great with it, pbulbs are plump and nice.
Growing it outdoors as well. If its just me, I would burn more holes to the side of the pot
just to let more air get to the roots.

Hi Randy, I just did..It's 6 " plastic pot with 10 bottom holes. Then I drilled another 20 holes to the side of the pot( I was thinking it would be very safe to water it everyday with the kind of pot I'm using

    Thank you.

Hi Bella, I don't have a Sharry Baby, but putting holes in the sides of your plastic pots is a REALLY good thing! I do It ALL the time for my orchids,in fact, ALL of my pots have holes or slits in the sides. Here is how I do it: 0 0 0 0 at the top, again around the middle, and more toward the bottom, Betty :-)
