My epidendrum radicans (can't remember the *new & improved* name) takes the total torture and neglect I give to it and it keeps coming back for more. My most difficult is any sort of phal, of course, a few of the seedlings I bought last year are still alive.

Easiest is reed stem Epidendrum species. It grew like weeds. Another one is Oncidium Gower Ramsey, blooms all year round, Brassia, and Oncidium Sharry Baby. Hardest is Paph of course, and any plant that does not do well in my growing condition. I really wish I could grow Odontoglossum hybrids

My easiest and most reliable to bloom are the Maudiae hybrids along with the Mtssas. Anything that goes to five or six growths without blooming is purged.

I'm not sure that every paph is capable of blooming. When I see them with MANY growths with no indication of previous blooming I get spooked! If a certain individual won't bloom it doesn't mean that a sib won't.

To ensure blooming on any plant, give it to a friend or set it by the trash can!
