    Default HELP my orchid Please

I have had this orchid for about 2 mos. now and it was doing great. It is a Phrag.Bel Croute orchid. It has bloomed 2x since I got it but now the leaves are going limp and the folige is turning yellow. It is starting to bloom again but the bloom is smaller than the first two. I am so worried that it is going to die. I don't know what to do. I have been watering it once a week and giving it fert. It is placed far from a window but in a well lit place.

    Can anyone help me?

Too much fertilizer, maybe? I am not an expert with Phrags but I seem to remember that they are sensitive to water quality and fertilizer. Hopefully someone with experience will chime in.

fb, need some more info: what kind of fertilizer are you using and how much? When you water, is the medium already dried out all the way through the pot? What kind of medium is the plant potted in? Describe the lighting situation a little more: if the plant is far from a window, are you growing it under fluorescent lights? Phrags need very bright light to do well, and their roots should never be allowed to dry off.

yellow leaves and limp foliage--sounds like you need to check the roots asap. no harm done if they're fine, but if they're not, that plant needs the rotten ones removed and then repotted into a small pot.

normally, that phrag will appreciate good light and relatively pure water. and lots of it.

thank you all so much for the quick help. I found the problem though and it is not a good one. Looking in the soil and roots I found little wt. worms. they must have just hatched in the last week because my plant has gone down hill fast. I threw out that orchid because it was to far gone. I have another one though that looks good but also has the worms . Do any of you know how to treat this or do I just need to get rid of the plant. I have many plants and don't want it to spread. thanks again
