    Moranda did you repot your orchid after you bought it home? It looks as if it's in a plastic pot. I would recommend repotting directly into the clay pot after it finishes blooming. If you choose to do this, wash off all the old media, remove any dead roots and repot in orchid bark. Just mho.

    I don't know what dead roots would look like or what to pot it in, I've had this orchid a long time, and am learning it's like having a puppy.

    Phalaenopsis Orchids are easy for some beginners and cause other beginners headaches. I hope we can help you take good care of your phal. Here is a video on how to repot your phal.
