There's always the traffic here...you'll be driving down a 45mph road and the car in front of you comes to a complete stop to make a right turn into a parking lot. It's usually right after you went shopping and have an orchid with a ton of spikes that goes flying when you have to slam on the brakes.

sounds abit like me! i have my learners permit now, and i was driving to the WOS spring show with my beautiful cymbidium....see pic below....and because of a meridian island in the middle of the road, we couldnt turn into the gardens at gate 1. so we had to go araound the roundabout, and then CRASH! my orchid had tipped over and snapped its biggest spike!

I was almost T boned the other day by a dip with a cell phone glued to their ear in a box store parking lot. I waved at them
Jordan, sorry about the spike, I have found they last almost as long in a glass of water as on the plant .. Gin

    OK, here's one of mine:
You bring your pots in off the lanai for some special attention at the kitchen sink. Then it's time to play "catch the lizard" for a couple of weeks because the lil beasties who were hiding in the pots are now running all over the kitchen! This even seems to happen when you try to startle them away before you bring the pots in. lol

yea, i did manage to save it, and i gave it to one of the sociaty members on the day......
haha i cannot guess what kind of wave it was Gin!!
and i think you are lucky lynda, that you have lizards living in your pots, because all our lizards seem to hide in undergrowth, holes in the ground and high in trees, miles from any civilisation! i would LOVE to find some of our skinks or geckos living in MY orchid pots.

They are kind of cute really and they sing at night (chirp) and lounge on the orchid leaves during the day. I just don't want them running around the kitchen. lol

Actually, i've found that even with frogs...two of those tubes from wrapping paper and I can wrangle the gecko's, frogs and what not out the door. As soon as we hear the tell tale chirping we try to get the pot back outside though. But when we find them exploring the house I get the "wrangling tubes". lol
