Default Enc tampenensis alba and another encyclia orchid

The tampenensis had 4 spikes and lost all except one when I moved her. But now she's growing 2 new spikes and seems to be settling in. (You can see one of the denizens of my patio in one of the pics if you look closely.)

Lol, Cindi...that was funny! I like spiders that sit in flowers and make interesting pictures, not so much the ones that sit down beside me. They frightened Miss Muffet away...

Hmmm ... strange for me because I have two plants - one a regular tampensis and the other is an alba form of it exactly like what you have in the photos. I've noticed that the regular form grows robustly and flowers but the alba form is very slow and finicky in growth and have difficulty in getting it to flower. I have to keep watching on it because I get worried that it might die on me. Strange since they are basically the same plant although one is just the alba form. They are both hanging side by side in the same grow area with the same light and treatment. Funny or is it that the alba form is slightly more difficult to grow and care for like some of the alba or other rare forms of some of the other species I've cared for? (P.S. and these plants are disease free since I've checked them)
