    Can't ID but I can drool. Very nice! Phals are usually hard to ID as they have been hybridized to death.

    The second phalaenopsis might have some of this in it: Phalaenopsis Mandarin Fire 'Orange' It seem similar, but the stripes are more pronounced in yours.

    Phal hybrids are really difficult to ID. Your first photo is very similar to my Phal Orchid World, if that's of any help.

    some advice given to me a while back at an orchid society meeting : "just make up the name, no-one will ever notice bacause there are so many hybrids, it can be impossible to tell one from the other."

    Default Phal root -suggestion

    Attached pic of the tropical snowball phal has roots outside the pot,

    Is there a need to transplant into another pot or could be left as is. It is a small plant and has not yet bloomed.

    If the media isn't breaking down, I'd leave it be.
    Phals just like to wave roots around in the air.

    I haver about 12 phals and 3 of them like to grow the roots almost strait up i just call it characterful. gives them personality...it looks happy to me nice green tips on your roots, appears to be growing strong and happy just enjoy its quirks!
