Got this recently (2 weeks ago), I got this one in spike however I thought that
its already finished blooming since the spike is almost bare except for a few seed
pods. When I potted it I decided not to cut the spike (good decision), but I did
removed a few bulbs that seems to be healthy except that it seems that it has
been eaten by something, but I saved it anyways just in case it sprouts a new
    growth.

Anyways, yesterday while I was moving plants around in preparation for our
house renovation this week I was surprised to see that spike has some buds on
it, and this morning this is what surprised me with... flowers have a floral
fragrance... I have a feeling that it may be a cymbidium.

i have a bifranaria (however you spell it) but hasnt flowered yet, so im not sure what they look like.....but the leaves are very similar in comparison to your pic randy, quite pleated.......

Whatever yours ends up being, im sure it may be from the same family.
