Mary, I just noticed that you are in northern CA....where? I am just south of Santa Rosa.
Someone esle told me it might be a PAPHIOPEDILUM lawrencianum. I saw a picture of one and it looked very much like this one. Maybe they are all related!?!?
Jason... I'm in McKinleyville...just a bit north of Eureka.
Well...Howdy distant neighbor! You grow anything outdoors???
I've got a few plants in pots...no orchids. All I have is an 8 x 16 foot concrete patio that never gets any sunshine unless it's reflected from the building behind me, so all I have is winter bulbs and a couple mini roses out there. I wish I had a large covered green house type patio. Maybe someday!
Beautiful display of a beautiful slipper orchid! Good growing, it obviously loves your attention! Thanks for sharing.
What a healthy,beautiful orchid plant! Love it...Betty
