    Can someone explain "4n" vs "3n" to me - I am sure it is a generation thing? Maybe? Okay, not sure, but curious! Would like to understand better. Not a math person! ha ha.

    Heather,

    Look in the Breeding topic and check out Chromosome count. Nice discussion and explanation. Basically, it means more number of chromosomes, the weirder the plant but in a good way.

    The FAQs in the Breeding forum talk a lot about that too, along with the thread called "Identifying ploidy." Sue did a really good job explaining things.

    Thanks - I saw that after I posted, of course. I'll have to re-read earlier in the day when I am more math brained. Really, I am never math brained, but I shall attempt to get my head around it. Thanks for the easy definition! I guess that means my St. Peter is weirder.
