    Default leaves with yellow outline

    dear friends,

i have a phal with leaves turning progressively limp and yellowish-light green and the edges turning yellow. why is that? the plant is otherwise healthy with 2 spikes of flowers - though small - and several new roots.

i grow it in s/h and under grow lights. lately it has been getting some direct sunlight in the late afternoon as the window is facing west.

    any help appreciated.

If it's only the last 2 bottom leaves ..don't fret...some phals will "shed " these last 2, and they usually go limp, turn yellow and fall off. Now, if it is top leaves..you have a problem... and it could be the direct west sun ...

My phals never get direct sun, always filtered...
    hope this helps...

    Default try this....

I'm no expert, but my phals have done the same thing when they were getting too much direct light. The limp leaves, the light yellow color, etc. The "brandings" could be sunburn. Try pulling them back from the window or adding a sheer curtain to filter the light. Simply pulling my phals back from the window they were in helped them dramatically in my situation. Hope that helps.
