Wow you guys shot my Orchid Diet all to hell......

But one thing I get out of the experiments is that maybe a little cinnamon dusted into the potting mix might be ok, not to stick to the roots but to discourage growths in the media?

The only time I use cinnamon is on a fresh cut. I aslo use physan 20 once a month in a very diluted mixture on the roots. This seem to be working well for me.

Hmmmmm This thread, with all the talk about food, made me crave cinnamon so I just made sour dough toast with apple butter.......flavored with cinnamon. It tastes Heavenly.

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .
