You do not state how big your plant is. If it is still a seedling, I would not mount it, but grow it in a pot or basket with charcoal or bark as the growing medium. You can give it the same treatment as a strap leaved vanda. Most successful Ren growers here grow them in pots with charcoal as the medium.

Thanks for the prompt reply Yew! Actually the Ren I was talking about was in bloom when I acquired it. It is about a 1.5 feet long. My problem is, it does not seem to grow new root/s. As a result the leaves are limp even though I water it twice daily. Can you suggest what will I do to promote root growth? I have used a local brand of rooting hormone, sprayed it around the Ren for about a month, however it seemed not effective at enhancing the Ren's root growth. Many thanks Yew.

Some Ren are really difficult growers. I would think that the Philippines would provide the ideal conditions for Ren seeing that most Ren come from your country. At the moment my Ren Singaporeans is blooming and it seems to be the only 'pure' renanthera to do OK in my place.
