Carmen - as long it visits when you're not there it shouldn't be a problem but how do you get it to agree to "visiting hours"?

I called the one that lives in my yard "Do˝a Hebra, la culebra" she is about 5 ft long (females are larger than males) , beautiful color, but no good manners, always sticks her tongue when I talk to her, she is warm and dry ( I accidentally stepped on her) and besides her visits every 6 months she is not noticed, Last time she brought her boyfriend! The other small ones we call "bobas" (dumb) because they always run every time they see someone. Just hose them and they run.

The one at my greenhouse is a "boba". More like a long worm than a snake. About 1 1/2 to 2 feet long and very thin, like a thick pencil. I can look at it from a respectable distance, and I really think its more afraid of me than I am from it! She saw me and ran away, so I can deal with that. I don't know what will happen if I see a bigger one, I think I won't get near my plants I'll have to get someone to get rid of it. The "boba" can come visit, as long as she doesn't come frequently!

I adore snakes...they do so very much for us and we usually don't even realize that they are practically in our laps...to the extreme opposition of my other half, I purchased an obviously wild caught snake from an unscrupulous pet store owner. He relaxed a bit when we got into the car and I insisted that we go to a nearby lake to release it.
