Default Dendrobium ID. Anyone know the id and info? Is it really rare?

Opportunity to snap this one up as a cutting! Trouble is the word 'rare' is assigned to it and hardly ever applies other than a selling con/ advantage and a pain. Would like to include some treasures in my collection and if it is infact rare I certainly would make a space for this. Ironically, in the past dendros and me dont get on so i altered my approach completely for these and...well wish i'd done it before.

It actually looks like quite a nice varient of Dendrobium nobile, quite a nice creamy colour to it. The shape and the blotch on the lip all mimick D. nobile, although the blotch is more red than purple.

Thanks to you both, i guess we hovering round the signatum/ hybrid until anyone else throws in their twopence. Am I right in presuming the 'rare' claim is pure rubbish as always then!

With orchids...the way to tell how rare it is, just look at the price tag. If it says anything less than $100...it's not rare. Rare plants go from hundreds to thousands of dollars....

I don't have it, so its rare. Then again, I do not have any Dendrobiums

Anyways, it does not matter the rarity, what matters is the love for it and the challenge to flower it

    Cheers
    Vincent
