Default Help ID this white Calanthe

This is the first time I've submitted photos. I hope it works. Please excuse the image quality.

The flower stalk developed in the fall after the leaves began to senesce. The stalk is now over three feet long. The flower are basically white with very little color in the throat. The label has Calanthe rosea but I think that's incorrect. The bloom time is wrong and my plant has distinctive bracts at the base of each flower which rosea lacks. I'm inclined toward Calanthe rubens even though there's no hint of pink in the flower. Orchidwiz, however, does show images of Calanthe rubens plants with white flowers.

This is the first time this plant has bloomed in 10-12 years. I would really appreciate some help in putting a name on this plant as a reward for my persistence.

Yea, looks like my Calanthe vestita in shape, but like Jose said, it is var alba
    Congratulations

I slowed watering right down in the winter when it went dormant, and i was rewarded with this MASSIVE spike of over 25 flowers. I also piled on the bloom booster when i saw the spike appear lol

When it goes dormant, water it about once every 3-4 weeks, and only until water seeps out of the bottom of the pot-thats enough.

I don't know. In most things, I'm much more stubborn than my husband. Oops! Did I say stubborn? I meant steadfast! Yeah! That's it - steadfast!

Could be calanthe rubens instead, but I'm not sure of the differences between vestita and rubens. The lip shape seems to be quite variable in both species.

I don't think it's a rosea and the upright spike would inddicate it is not a rubens - an alba form of ceciliae, maybe.
