    Lightbulb Spiranthes aestivalis

I have just acquired a Spiranthes aestivalis - which likes to grow in moors, and "poor" soil. Does anyone know if I need to fertilize it?

im not entirely sure, but i am picking it grows similar to Pterostylis and Anzybas etc, we have a few Spiranthes species here. I grow the Pterostylis, Anzybas, Chiloglottis, Nematoceras and Corybas, and i dont fertilize them, i just gove them a top dressing of pine needles once a year. The Spiranthes we have here grow the same. Try that, it could work

PS/ there is a fungus that loves pine needles, that alot of terrestrials prefer to associate with, especially the temperate ones. Thats why all of the NZ natives love the pine forests etc, try it, you never know
