    Default dormat oncidium orchids

My mother just brought home 2 oncidium orchids that no one wanted. They, along with my "howard's dream", have gone dormat. Being new to this type of orchid, does anyone have advice on how to care for them in this stage. Should I decrease watering? I just repotted them because they were waterlogged. I hope this wasn't a mistake. Should I start fertilizing to hopefully get blooms again?

My oncidiums get the same watering schedule year-round (ie, water when almost, but not quite dry), and do well. You repotting them sounds like it was needed and appropriate. Good luck with them!

Thanks. I've been finding that I need to water them more often than my Phals but they are potted in a much coarser medium so I'll just keep up the routine. They are in bad shape due to living in a grocery store for the last few months. Hopefully they'll show me whether or not they are happy pretty quickly.
