Oh you all are so funny.
I think the best treatment for vandas is realizing they are heavy feeders. I use a non-urea based fert and I swear by sea kelp and use it at least once a week. I also keep up a regiment of spraying for thrips at about once a week especially when it is dry. I spray weekly with a combo of fungicides and rotate what I use. And water...knowing they need to be watered to the point that the roots are truly saturated. If they are severely dehydrated it might take several waterings to get that bright apple green colored root which means they are absorbing water. I water three times a day in the height of summer. Keep the crown dry and never water late in the afternoon. They need to be totally dry by nightfall. Lastly good air movement at all times.

and I think I should add...be mindful of recent imports. They can harbor a few really nasty types of fungus/bacterial things. I treat and treat even with no outward signs. Some of these don't rear their heads till winter when the plant is under stress from cold weather. Toward the bottom of this link there is a good article http://www.staugorchidsociety.org/PD...tter201006.pdf
