The one I have recommends using a half ounce per gallon of water. I use about a third of that along with about a third the amount of orchid fert that is recommended. Usually a dash of seaweed. Occassionally, the last of an unfinished beer, a bit of vodka, a little honey....I get crazy looks from my partner when I go digging around our bar at eight thirty in the morning, but it makes my babies happy, so I just let him go on looking.

I use Maxicrop Liquid Seaweed at 1 oz. per gallon. You're right, it's not a fertilizer, just a supplement. I fertilize every week but I add the seaweed every other week. When I use it at less than 1 oz. per gallon it doesn't seem to have as much of an affect.

Not at all! Keep in mind that I use very small amounts. Beer is full of good things too...B vitamins especially. FYI, I just realized that I stated the wrong amount of fish emulsion that I use. I should have said that I use a third of an ounce in TWO gallons of fert water mixed at a third strength. I have too many sprayers around here!

A third of an oz. per 2 gallons? Is that even enough to do anything? haha

It's combined with other fertilizers and I try to fertilize often...I'd rather underdo than overdo.

I have a bottle on the way after all I've heard also. The recommendations from the seller were to use it as a supplement with a fert. I have a keiki I really want to grow out and not take chances with, and, well, I like roots.
I haven't used a fish emulsion, but my sprayer always has some fish expulsion (poop) in it. I have some very dirty fish, and get lots of black ooze off the filter pads. I usually throw in some chicken poop too. I have used drained water from aquariums to water houseplants before; they seemed to love it.
