Default Show us your orchid spikes....

As the season change into cold or hot for most of yous. I wanted us to share what our Orchies are up to whether they are, basking in the summer sun or enjoying the warmth of the heated indoors while watching the rain and thunder roll by. So what better way than to show upcoming blooms. I shall start...Name: DSC01881_2.JPG

Nope. I've bought most this year and 8/10 of them have never reached their first blooming yet, so I have no way of knowing whether my care is shit or if they're just not old enough. They're all rather big and have plenty of pseudobulbs. We'll see. Maybe I just have a bunch of fall bloomers.

This is a good thread, I'd like to post some pics too. These are some spikes with some potential to bloom in the coming following months.

Yours look absolutely healthy too, especially the mounted Phal is intriguing. I am currently trying out water culture for my Cattleya and a poorly Laelia. Both have been putting out new foliar growth but no roots, lets hope they find the new culture any good.

Yea I can't wait. There are nine spikes on that Oncidium Sharry Baby Sweet Fragrance. I think I may have caused some bud blast on some of my others, I hope I did not do it with that one also!
