    Default Locating clay pots

Has anyone ever ordered clay pots online? I'm having trouble finding the ones that I like and I rarely can find the tiny ones. The big craft store has clay pots in a variety of sizes but I do not like the type of clay used. It's a light colored clay and the pots I think are thinner and smoother. I was wondering if anyone has purchased online or just finds them in stores.

I buy them at my local garden store when I need them. I would think the shipping cost to buy online would be high since they're heavy compared to plastic. Are you looking for the kind with slots? I know a company that does sell them online - I've seen them in person and they're good quality.

They could have slots. I'm looking for a variety. These are actually more for my succulents but some I would use for a couple orchids. I'll try some of the local garden centers while summer stuff is still in season. The big box stores do not have what I'm looking for so far. I've never seen the really small ones in stores.

In my area the big box home improvement stores have clay orchid pots with the slits in the sides. They carry a 5" size that works well for a lot of orchids. I agree with Ali that buying online and shipping them would be pretty expensive.

I found decent little ones (1 inch up to 3 inch) at our local craft store in the area that has doll house stuff.

My big box store carries the orchid pots with slots but they must have found a new disributor because they are different from ones I've purchased in the past.
I'll check to see if my craft store has a doll section.

I wouldn't recommend (though I don't think you're looking for) the glazed clay "orchid pots" that have all the decorative cuts around it which they sell at big box stores. Unless you're putting the kind of stuff you'd use in baskets in it. Bark just falls through those holes, and glazed pots aren't recommended.

I know which you are talking about Ali but yep I'm just looking for the old plain clay pots. I did find a few smaller ones of the clay I like at a local nursery. But not tiny pots.

Beny are you able to receive PM's?
