Default Question for those of you with an automated misting system

I find that my media remains moist now that I have installed the automatic misting system. For those of you with an automated misting system do you find there to be a problem with the constant moisture. Everything is in bark so nothing is soggy but everything is moist. How are the rest of you using your auto misting sytem such as intervals and duration and what are the affects on your plants? Thanks,Miller

Normally if you mist below the plants you will be okay. You can't let the media stay too soggy or you are going to have problems with root rot and fungus.

This may be a dumb question but how do you mist below the plants?

It depends on what you use the misting system for.
If it is for humidity/temperature control, the water must not land on the plants and the pots. You just want the water to evaporate and increase the humidity and lower the temperature.
If you are using the misters as an irrigation system then you will need to reduce the frequency of the misting schedule so that the plants have time to dry out in between watering runs.
