    Question keeping phal blooms bright

my first phal i purchased april 2011........ its grown really well so far, with a new leaf, new spike, and another new leaf is in the process of shooting out right now, and it has been blooming this year since the end of January, the last bloom is about to fall off any day, and the very very tip of the spike remains 1 more bud even! Im proud with the longevity of this years blooming season, but I noticed this time around that the blooms wern't nearly as colorful as when I first brought it home. However, I did manage to produce much larger blooms! I just wish the colors this year would of been as strong and vibrant as last year. Everything else seemed to go so well though, what happened do you think that dulled my flowers?

The commercial grower had it grow under optimal conditions; temperature, light, moisture, watering, fertilization and so forth. I would say that the change in condition played a large role in your observation.
