NOID Orchid - What have I done!

This is a discussion on NOID Orchid - What have I done! within the General Orchid Culture forums, part of the Orchid Culture category; There was virtually no media left in the pot but I was thinking it looked ...

    There was virtually no media left in the pot but I was thinking it looked like remnants of potting soil or spag mixed with perlite. I repotted in bark so if if lives great, if it doesn't, we have our answer! lol

    No it is not spathoglottis, it is definitely a Zygo or its hybrid to some oncidium alliance member. As far as I know Spathos and Zygos cannot be crossed. At least no one did it

    Looks like a Coelogyne of some sort.

    I have to admit it looks like that. But if the care sheet I read is correct then it is doomed in my care!

    A zygo or coelogyne orchid. I am leaning toward Coelogyne.

    The spike that I did not break is still growing. I was away for four days and when I checked this evening it has grown quite a bit. We may get to see a flower yet!
