I have a few schombos and Gramms, I may live to regret that statement! lolol My Oncidium Sharry Baby has 9 spikes now over three feet, it is taking its time with blooming but I think I saw a bud last night so YAY!

Very good. I didn't mean to question the speaker or the correctness of your labels. I was just saying that as a disclaimer for when we are reading tags in general. Again, great additions!

Not a problem, i wasn't implying you were questioning her labels. Just reinforcing that I should be able to determine species from hybrid with confidence based on her label and the information you shared with me. 1 catt potted up and 4 more orchids to go!

Eric Hansen, author of Orchid Fever, recalls a conversation with an otherwise down-to-earth neighbourhood flower grower who told him: "You can get off alcohol, drugs, women, food and cars, but once you're hooked on orchids you're finished. You never get off orchids. Never."
I certify that this is true.

I've been to a couple small orchid shows in MN, so I can only believe that going to much bigger ones is even worse: to attend an orchid show is to walk into a cloud of pure, unmitigated lust. Eric Hansen compared it to a drug high, and damned if he didn't have it exactly right. It took me HOURS to come down off it. I was wired for sound.

BTW, great plants. When can expect pictures of your 'chids?

Around 390 in total, i need a new greenhouse. Christmas 2011 again Mum and Dad?

Oh to be a kid again. I remember sitting on the counter of my grandfathers liquor store and the customers would always give me their change! If I had saved that change I would have two greenhouses now!
