There are very few mature orchid plants in organic media that would be harmed by going a year without fertilizer. They won't even notice if you cut back for only a month or 2. I would stop fertilizing for 6 months and then resume at half the former rate. Yes, they will probably grow slower, but a fertilizer rate that is promoting vegetative growth may be inhibiting reproductive growth. There are certainly some plants that will respond to a short term stress trigger by flowering, but many more will need a consistent change that lasts through 2 complete growth cycles before you can expect to see a change.
