Cattleya still goin strong...

    Default weird!

    Well then that is quite strange then... all the new roots are from the old growth... I do not see a new sign of a psuedobulb coming in?

    It's not a steadfast rule. But as a general rule, new roots come from new growth. If it was super stressed and weak, it probably felt the need to establish a root system before putting forth the energy to make a new growth.

    yea I pretty much left it with no roots after removing the rotted ones and giving ita bleach bath..seems the tricky part is slowly paying off....

    Good job!! Glad to hear your catt is perking up!! New roots are always a good thing. I wouldn't worry too much about them being from the old growth. The plant has to start somewhere, right? If it doesn't have any roots it can't really produce the energy required to make a new pseudobulb, so I'd just be patient, and I'm sure you will see a new bulb soon!

    In the meantime, you could always buy yourself something else with blooms on it...you know, if you can't bear to wait... hehee... sorry, I'm enabling... I know it. LOL
